Water skiing
Do you like skiing on snow? So why not to try water skiing! We provide this in our country more and more- only 200m far from our pension’s pier (catwalk).
Tennis court
Tennis is one of the most popular sports of all. You can take advantage of courts right in the area of our pension. If you do not have the necessary tennis equipment, we would be pleased to lend you ours.
Boat trips
We provide the sightseeing sails:
- down the Hněvkovice river dam (the Vltava river) to the town of Hluboká nad Vltavou
- to the Orlík castle
Mushroom-picking
At the turn of the summer and autumn period the mushroom-pickers are always experiencing great mushroom-picking success in the Hněvkovice river dam neighborhood.
Fishing
The Hněvkovice river dam is a favorite place for sport- and fun-fishermen. The local waters are fairly vivid. The cyprinids and carnivorous fish are attaining trophy sizes here.
Cycling
In the neighborhood of our pension, the number of back-to-back (sequential) cycle-ways has been built up. We offer you lending the bicycles in our pension, by which you can make an of-your-choice ride through the beautiful country (natural scenery). You can visit sights, southbohemian villages and towns or other interesting tourist districts.
The Hluboká nad Vltavou Golf club (9.00 km)
The golf yard is situated in a wonderful natural environment of South Bohemia, below the famous castle Hluboká, it covers an area of 68 hectars and contains 18 + 9 holes and a large driving range.
Winter activities
When the winter provides the perfect winter conditions, the water surface of the Hněvkovice river dam (reservoir) becomes a neverending rink and the neighboring country is a perfect place for cross-country skiing.
Water & Swimming
For swimming you can use our 10m long, 5m wide covered-swimming pool with the maximum depth of 2.5m or you can give way to natural swimming in the Hněvkovice river dam.
The Hněvkovice river dam
„The Hněvkovice river dam - the fisherman’s and water sports lovers’ paradise.“.The Hněvkovická reservoir (the Hněvkovice river dam) was built up during 1986 – 1992 as a multipurpose water project. This water reservoir spreads from the dam about 15 km further against the Vltava river stream and almost reaches the town Hluboká nad Vltavou. The gravity concrete dam of the reservoir is about 16.5 m high and 191 m long. The water basin behind the dam occupies an area of 312 hectars and contains 22 millions m3 of water. The dam also contains three 12 m wide overflows and a floating channel.
The Bezdrev lake (10.20 km)
Bezdrev is the second largest lake in South Bohemia. This lake was built off a stream called the Netolický potok in the area between two roads which connect the town České Budějovice with Vodňany and with Hluboká (Týn nad Vltavou) in the neighborhood of the small castle, Ohrada. The length of the dam reaches nearly 400 m. The perimeter of the lake measures - because of the very indented shore – 18.5 km. The cadastral surface of the lake is 520 hectars.
